Renee Ryckman

Partners in Design, LLC​

Partners in Design is a full service interior design firm specializing in hospitality, restaurant, senior living, multi-family and commercial interiors.  We offer services ranging from, but not limited to, preliminary consultation, space planning, demolition/construction, tenant improvement, preparation of full CD’s, custom millwork and built-ins, lighting specification, furniture specification, budget analysis and project management.

 

Renee studied interiors and interior architecture in Canada at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute which at the time was the only accredited school in Canada.  Today it is a full accredited University offering the same programs.  Pursuant to this she studied Graphic Design at George Brown College and Criminology at the University of Toronto.

 

Renee relocated to the United States 20+ years ago, first to New Mexico where she started Partners in Design and 10 years later to San Diego.  She began her career in San Diego as Director of Design for a commercial furniture dealer and then joined two local boutique firms as Senior Designer and Senior Project Manager.   She has a very diverse clientelle and is always eager to bring her talent, knowledge and skills to any and all design challenges at hand.

 

Partners in Design works in many diverse disciplines.  This has offered them the opportunity to design for the likes of Zurich Canada, Magna International, Domino’s Pizza, Dickey’s BBQ, Pacifica Companies, Tuscany Restaurant and The Pollin Group, just to name a few.  Currently they are designing the facilities and restaurant interiors for Westmont Living, Pacifica Companies, Flintridge Partners and DCI as part of the growing luxury independent 50+ living communities throughout the United States.

In addition they have added the Hampton Brand Hotels to their portfolio.

 

Renee’s professional affiliations include IDS (Interior Design Society), NEWH (The Hospitality Industry Network, HCI (Health Care Institute - IFMA) and DSA (Designer Society of America).
